Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, the Mine Surveyor plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient measurement and mapping of mining operations.


This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Surveyor looking to further develop their career within a dynamic mining environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain survey control networks to Mines Department standards (surface and underground)
  • Develop and manage survey databases and models
  • Establish drone survey control networks for surface operations
  • Conduct detailed surveys and ensure accurate mine model updates
  • Prepare accurate end-of-month reporting and survey calculations
  • Ensure underground development and open pit/dump designs are executed to plan
  • Monitor design implementation and address deviations appropriately
  • Support operational teams with layout and technical guidance
  • Support ongoing development of UAV (drone) survey capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with WHS Act 2020, Mines Regulations 2022, and Company policies


About You:

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Surveying
  • Minimum 18 months’ experience as a Graduate Mine Surveyor
  • Exposure to underground and/or open pit mining
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
  • Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Clearance (within 12 months)

Desirable:

  • Experience with Leica Total Stations, Trimble GPS, and Geosight CMS
  • Experience with drone/UAV technology
  • Remote Pilot Licence (RePL)
  • Authorised Mine Surveyor (Grade 1 or 2) or ability to obtain
